The RM has received a Subdivision Permit Application from Robert Stromberg that proposes establishing 13 new lots on the east side of Lakeview Ave. The application creates 13 lots ranging in size between 0.23 acres and 0.43 acres to bring the existing non-conforming garages into compliance with the Zoning Bylaws and will also allows the applicant to sell the parcels. Due to the number of lots being created the current zoning of A1 – Agriculture will have to change and the RM is proposing to rezone the lots LR1 – Lakeshore Residential 1 and will then probably annex them into the Organized Hamlet of Day’s Beach. At the first reading of the application we advised Council that the Day’s Beach ratepayers have always voted against a back row of cottages but recognise that some of you may be supportive of this application because it will allow you to buy the property your garage is on.
We have requested that all Day’s Beach residents receive notice of the application and believe it was mailed to all the legal owners on April 15, 2021.
The public meeting being held to discuss it has been scheduled for Wed May 5 at 1:30pm.
